Monadius is to congratulate the 20th anniversary of Gradius, and is to thank for the highly developed history of games and programming environments since then.

about the game

Monadius is a shoot 'em up with the selection bar power-up system for Windows.

It also is one of few :'( games written in Haskell, a purely functional programming language.

instructions

Well, it's another Gradius clone. To be rather more precise;

• Operate your ship and manage through the gradually heating up waves of enemies.
• A bunch of red capsules improve your ship.
• If you are shot down, you can always continue the game, but from certain savepoints and with all your power ups deprived.
• Replays are automatically saved, and are proved to play correctly.
• And discover a few hidden features...?

Monadius is a freeware distributed under GPL license.

You need Windows with OpenGL installed to play Monadius. Or you may need to compile it.
