OKWAVE などをみていると
Windows でさえ、まともに install 出来ない感じがする。
既にinstall されているPC を買っているので、ちょっとtrouble が起きると自分で解決出来ない。
ましてや、Linux をinstall 出来る人は少ない。
install しても
英語のmessage が出ると、お手上げ?
Error は、エラー と認識してない人もいるみたいだ。英語のmessage が出た時点で、元々読む気が無いみたいだ。
どうも、日本人の英語力は、会話力が足りないと言われているが、文章の読解力 も思った以上に無いみたいだ。
Compile のmessage なんて、中/高 の英語で充分なのに、理解していない人が多い。？
多いかどうかは疑問。そういう人が質問をするので、その様に感じるだけかも知れない。
OKWAVE について言えば
自分で出来るのだが、面倒なので質問をしている人がいるみたいだ。
"初心者ですが" "探したけれど見つかりません" とか、本当に探したのと言いたくなるのもある。
PC は、家電 になったということか。出来ているものを使うのであって、自分で何かをやるものではない??
車でも、自分でtuning はやらない、やれない。
----という事か。
Windows でも、IE でも、最初から入っているから使う。そういう面も多いと思う。
それでも、Linux をやってみたいという人は増えているみたいだ。
Linux での、現在の問題は、日本語とdevice-driver でしょう。
single-code(?) では、殆ど問題はないのではないか。
外国では、DELL の ubuntu pre-install が割と売れたりして
どういう事になるのか楽しみだ。

Ubutu など 最近 ufw/gufw が使われて来ている。

最近は、telnet-server は、だいたい install もされていない。
telnet serverは defaut では禁止。ssh を使った方が良いのだが、それでも使う場合
/etc/xinet.d/telnet の中を disable = no にする。
/etc/hosts.allow に追加
telnet : 192.168.1.* とか //telnet : 192.168.1. としているものが多い。
必要なら
/sbin/sevice telnet start[ restart]
ただし、SELinux, Firewall, tcpwrapper の関係があり更に設定が必要の場合がある。
というか、enforcing は苦しい。telnet の port を開ける。
root でlogin は更に設定しなければならない。何処を、後で
調べると、有ったが、やるべきではない。User でlogin してそれから su とするべきでしょう。

ASUS P4C800DLX, P4P800 では、Core2 以降初めて音が出た。
ASUS P4C800DLX, P4P800 では、on-Board NIC ( 3C940) は、Core2以降自動認識。Core1 原則設定。
それ以前は難しい。(RHEL3含む)//依然compile したときは不安定だった。
今は、driver のistall が簡単になっているし、安定性もあるみたいだ。

BuffaloのLGY-PCI32-GTは、tg3のmodule が標準実装される様になってから、殆ど問題がない。
多分7.3 は、無かった。( Buffalo からDLした ) 8.0からだと思うが外れているかも知れない。
RTL-8139 何時からか調子が悪い。昔は良かった。もうあまり使っていないので良く解らないが。
//core2 以降悪いらしい。但し、Corega の CG-LAPCITX は、良いみたいだ。

SUSE9.1 のGRUB で起動している。

RHL9.0 認識しなかった。
Core1 install 出来た。立ち上がった。
//HDの容量が有るのに、無いと言われたら一枚目のCDをメディア・チェック。当初は良く有ったが久しぶりに言われた。
Core2 中途半端なDistro なのでやらない。
Core3 install 出来た。立ち上がった。
Core3 は、前もってAcronics Disk Director Suite 9.0 ( 製品 ) でPartition
を作っておいた。//kernel 2.6 対策
SATA-Boot( ATA-HDD との混在で )
SATA からのboot はどうするのか。
BIOS の設定は当然だが、grub をこの場合 /dev/sda のmbrに書かなければならない。
RHLでは、Drive の順番を変更するで何とかなると思うだが、 //こちらが今の所正解。しかしDrive
番号は注意が必要。
それとも、boot したDrive に書くように対応する様になっているのか、やってみないと何とも言えない。
ATA とSATA の混在で、SATA からboot すると通常では、それでもmbr を/dev/hda
に書こうとする。//未だそう言いきれない
RHL では、"Driveの順番を変更する" があり/deb/sda に書ける。 //Core3
しかし、これを特にDebian 系のDistro で見た記憶が無い。rpm 系でも無かったものが有る気がする。
この場合、ATA のHDD をdisable にするか、又はRHL を最初に install しておいた方が良いと思われる。
//これを、解決しているDistro があるかも知れない。
SATAのHDD だけだと問題化しないと思われる。

KDE の為か、無い物が有る。
rsvg が無いと出たなら、gnome-python-rsvg ( 正確ではないかもしれない ) の様なものを install する。
K-menu > 設定 に、screenlets-manager に有るのだが動作しない。
/usr/local/share/screenlets/Control/ControlScreenlet.py を実行する。
下図で一番左のicon が現れる。右Click で 他の screnlet を 起動出来る。
一番右は、default には無く、install して動作させた。

openSUSE や、Sabayaon では、以前から採用されているので、珍しくもないが
私は、あまり好きでない。
widget で、以前の style も出来る。
32bit 機 KDE にした。日本語でinstall したのに、日本語にならなかった様な気がする。
ja 関連を install して日本語にした。
scim 関連をinstall して、日本語入力 を可能にした。最低どれを install すれば良いか解らないので
軒並み、install した。
PackageKit は、自動的には、Reflesh しない。自分で行う。pirut とは違う。
64bit 機 Gnome にした。
やはり、FileManager と Terminal との連携が悪いので、kdebase を install した。
Nautilus に、nautilus-open-terminal という plug-in がinstall 出来る。
再 log-in 後 有効になる。
kick-off Menu ? smart menu ？上 で icon を 右click すると
desktop に追加 task-bar に追加 出来る menu が現れる。
x86_64 Gnome
gnome-art-ng を install した。壁紙やICON を変更した。

設定 > tool-bar で
Terminal を追加した。
folder-icon で、dirctory を移動すると、
terminal が連動する。
terminal で directory を変化させても、icon の方は変化しない。
設定 > Dolphin を設定 > 編集可能な場所バー
で、Location を 入力出来る。
ただし、samba は、XP へでさえ完全ではない。出来る場所と出来ない場所が有った。
2008-08 直っている気がする。

この辺は、もう一度やる必要がある。
Konqueror で user で Windows に
smb://192.168.1.x/
として、access 出来ていたが、F9 で出来なくなった。
出来るのが、最近少し疑問を持っていた所だ。
一般User は、mount 出来ないはずなのに、
User から出来る事がおかしかった。//Konqeror が mount しているかは疑問
権限の管理 ( Policykit ) 未だ良く解らない。この問題でもないらしい。
smbclient を やれば解るが、ftp みたいに出来る。mount する必要は無い。
もちろん、mount でも出来る。
Konqueror でも Dolphin > Network でも 接続出来ない。
Konquror address を入力すｓると 出来る/出来ないFolder が有った。
smb4k を install した。
mount の問題が有ったので
su - の
# smb4k で 接続出来た。// XP に。Vista は、同じPC なので解らない。
KDE でも、nautilus を install して
$ nautilus smb://windows-xp/ で 出来る/出来ないFolder が有った。

場所 > network で XP は接続出来るがVista は接続出来ない。
Vista移行でパスワード認証されなくなったファイルサーバへの対応
NTLM 認証を、0,1 にしても駄目だった。
場所 > サーバ へ接続

共有する場所 /users/foo/downloads とか// /users/foo/
でも良かった。あまり厳密性がない。

どうも接続に厳密性が無い。共有していない所も見えてしまう。

どうも、Vista へは認証を行わない方式では駄目な様な気がする。
Gnome にも、Dolphin や、Konquror を install したのだが
Konqueror は、XP には接続出来なかった。Vista には接続出来た。passwd 認証が現れた。
smb4k は、su - で立ち上げると、/root/smb4k に mount された。//KDE での様子と違う。
SELinux で、簡単に enforce から permmisive に変更出来るのもどうか
変更したら restart 後 有効になるのが筋ではないか。使う方は面倒だが

Dolphin で Samba が、Windows に対して、Folder が 多くあるとかFile が多い folder に 入れなかった。
簡単なものは、OK らしいのだが。// Nautilus は 良いらしい。
Wine で wine configuration が文字化け。 Ubuntu から、user.reg を copy した。
必ずしも、network が駄目という訳では、ないらしい。
FFFTP は動作しなかったが、Filezilla はどうも動作する。

ナイスな日本語環境(CentOS 4.2 ver)
現在は、rpm だけではなかった。
system 設定、input-mothod の変更で出来た。//emacs に日本語入力が出来ている。
yum install synaptic で、apt もinstall される。
ただし、最初に、全てをinstall したのでそれ以上は無かった。
FC3 のapt をinstall すると良いのだが、up2date をすると元に戻ってしまう。
そこで、Smart Package Manager をinstall した。
EL4 用も有るが、多分Application はすくないと思うので、FC3 のものを
install した。//FC3 を参照。
Fedora は、更新が激しくWorkstation としても落ち着いてやれない。
CentOS をWorkstation として使うか。

あちこちに分散しているので
CentOS にinstall したものをまとめて行く。ただし、server 関連は除く。Workstation
として使う。
Ktorrent も辞めて、aria2 を使う事にした。CUI だが、torrent, metalink が出来る。
KTorrent
1.2 で大分まともになった。
Windows版のtorrent BitLord なんかはどうも信用出来ない。//BitLord はspyware が有る。
意図しない動作をしている気がする。
upload のFile 容量の方が大きいとか。
ktorrent で見ていると、そうでもないみたいだ。
すなわち、download をしたものを他に再配布している。それでupload の方が大きくなる。
libtorrent というのもある。rtorrent で TUI

条件を、もう少し一致させなければならない。
いずれにせよ、qemu は、実用段階になった。

kernel 2.6.x では、kernel を再compile すればWrite 出来るという事だが、保証されていない。
多分、殆どの人がやっていない。下記のCaptive でしょう。
Captive は、kernel 2.4 で終了。ただし、LUFS から、FUSE になって復活。
RedHat系( 狭い意味 RHLx.x, RHELx.x, Fedora x )は、rpm が有る。CentOS4.2 にinstall した。
NTFS を Read 出来た。Write も出来るらしい。未だやっていない。
2006/02 現在 RedHat系でないと難しい。//他は、ntfsmount

編集を立ち上げると、ストーリエディタ なるものが立ち上がるのだが
このフォントもsazanami-gothic/mincho にした。
確定する様になったが、その通りには反映されなかった。
「本日は晴天なり」 で 「本日は晴天」 になった。
いろいろやってみると
ひらがな が 2個続くと反映されないらしい。
漢字に挟まれた ひらがなは、一個 なら表示されるらしい。 上 Block
下Block は、OpenOffice で、odt フォーマット で出力して
読み込んだ。反映されている。
未だ、癖はあるがかなり使える。
Graphic 挿入は、未だ。
ストーリエディタ で、更新ではなく、保存して import すると正しく反映された。
Fedora6 で、source から、1.3.3.8 をcompile してみたが
状況は、変化しなかった。
これを、WindowsXP へ持って行った。結果はずっと下の方。Scribus の 項
beryl : Fedora 6 の repository を追加 すれば直ぐ出来た。Radeon-9550
しかしもうやらない。飽きたし、Memory を食うし。

これで WinSCP で Windows から、File のやりとりが出来るので、FTPD や SAMBA は今回はやらない。

いわゆる installer というものは、ないみたいである。自分でコマンドで install
する。
パーティションを作る。file-systemを作る。。swapをonにする。mountする。mount-pointを作る--こんな感じで延々と
好きな人には面白いと思うが、ちょっと大変。
install-CD で、3c940( P4P800-on board LAN ) で認識しなかった。insmod sk98linでも駄目。

X11R6.8.1-srcN.tar.gz N=1-7 だけでは、Error //XF86 とは少し違うようだ。
X はやっと動作した。2日もかかってしまった。下記を参照した。
ただし、この通りに行かない部分が有った。90%くらいOKだ。

Preview 5版 isoが有る。( CD 1枚 ) 中国語と英語。keyboardの設定は、日本の配列が有った。
RedHat系、installerは、anacondaで違和感はない。従って、認識はしている。
しかし、installしたPCが古くて、Graphic Board Savage｣ のDriverが無いと来た。
標準のSVGAで動作させた・
NICも、古いらしく認識しなかった。
この時点で、Mozilla Firebird、Thunderbirdで、最新を取り入れている。
少し疑問がある。NICの設定。CD-RW。まあPreview版だから。

install 時、設定が何処にinstall するか以外設定項目が無い。
中文版 cNr無し Lindows という感じか。installer はanaconda だが中文化されている。
殆どが中文化されている。install 後、英語に出来る。
package を install しようとすると、Fedora ｃｏｒｅ１ のdisc が要求された。
Input Mothodの設定が有る。しかし解らない。
network は、tg3, 8139too で認識している。どうもDHCPが効いていない。
static で設定して、接続した。
なかなか良いではないか。私は、install 時、設定が少ないのは好きでは無いが。

CD2枚、日本語setupと日本語key-boardを選択出来るが日本語されていない。
途中での設定はない。立ち上がってから行う。
Log-Inでpasswordを聞かれる。installで自分で設定出来る様になっていないから
決まっている。passwordは簡単だった。
networkは、認識しなかった。modiuleは、rhineのはずだが、無かった。
DHCP何かも、立ち上がってから設定する。Nicを認識すれば自動的に設定されるのかは
NICを変えた。100Mでは一般的なRTL8139x。設定でｖｉａ-rhineにしても認識しなかった。
Thiz-configのNew Hardware detectoinで検出してみると8139tooとかで検出した。
しかし、これをやると暴走気味になりやっと検出を保存した。
全体的に、個人Use志向。
ちょっと古いPCでやっている事もあるらしい。といって新しいPCではちょっと。
