|294||August 16th or later, 1945.||I gradually came to realise that something is wrong.|
|25 years old at that time|
As a medical doctor, I was treating the ones suffering from the atomic bomb attack, in other words, hibakushas. I found it strange when I made an injection since the body started to rotten from that spot. Once s/he got leukemia, things went bad from the injected spot.
Heavily injured organized girls lost their hair when they combed it. Something is going wrong. Gradually I came to realize the symptoms of the atomic bomb sickness.
A young girl combed her hair with a comb she borrowed from a nurse, once the comb ran through her hair, their fell off. I believe that it is not necessary to explain how shocked she was in words. The same things happened to the nurses who came to help.
When their washed their faces in the morning and the moment their hands felt their hair it fell off, too. Similar cases were seen everywhere.
