Chico State has a friendly and welcoming environment. MBA and MSA coursework is challenging and relevant to today's global business environment. In addition to their doctoral degrees, the high-caliberfaculty who teach these courses have had real-world business experience.

One of the best things I really enjoy about the MBA program at Chico State is the close friendships I have developed in just the short time I have been in the program.
I attribute that partly due to the Graduate Business Association which provides graduate business students a place to gather between classes to study, offers a private computer lab, a place to prepare for presentation or just visit. After having travelled to some 48 countries another aspect I really enjoy about the program is the cultural diversity. I am really happy I made the choice to attend California State University Chico.

I wouldn't be wrong by comparing Chico to a small sized Jungle.... Not only because it gets really WILD on the weekends but also because of some other reasons.... Chico is calm and serene.... Chico is beautiful and green.... Chico welcomes you in its bosom like mother nature.... Chico is also so close to mother nature.... Be it sparkling water or breeze, be it Sun or a Mountain, Chico's got everything close to it.... Chico is all about giving in to you wild side.... guzzle up a couple of beers for a bachanalia and good comaraderie.... Well, Chico is also about studying a little and working a lil.... and as they say the MBA in MIS program is really strong in Chico I would recomment you to come and get the Chico Experience.... And how did I forget talking about those gorgeous women that you can find in Chico.... so, if any one of you who wanna swig in a few beers and enjoy the beautiful and beatific Chico, you are most welcome to the Jungle.....
Namaste- Hitesh

I've been here for 5 years now and got 1 year to go before I get my MBA. That makes me a true Chico-Town veteran!:)
I completed my undergraduate degree here and decided to stay in Chico based in the friendly social atomosphere and Chico State's strong SAP program which is a part of the MBA experience. The Business Graduate program is both challenging and enjoyable, so the diverse community works together successfully complete class tasks and assignments. Chico is a great place to be, so if you are thinking about a place in the United States to study, be sure to check out Chico State!

In Chico, a small and peaceful town, there are friendly people, and different scenery and life styles from big cities. People here always say "hi" to you even though you meet at the first time. In my program, MSA program, I can say all of them are that kinds of people. That is why it is always noisy in the graduate business association in which business graduate students often get together. We are like in a family here. Moreover, there are lots of floweres and trees here. In spring time, people will be arounded by flowers, especially in the rose garden on campus. Can you image that you stand in the garden where there are all roses?? It was amazing when I stood there in my first time. In addition, Chico is red in fall because the leaves all turn red. That is romantic view.

It is a pleasure for me being a part of Graduate Business Association(GBA) and working with Ryota. I think we, GBA members and MBA students have mutual bonds, trying to have fun and enjoy the life. Life is not all about classes, right?
Ryota and his sense of business, his easy going personality are making things easier. He always has a ready smile on his face, and that keeps you in good mode. Everything is good except the basketball game we lost against Taiwanese Student Association. We did our best, did not we Ryota:)?

Looking forward to learning more about Japanese culture, various people and cultures.

Such a wonderful place to stay, lots of fun and interesting people... Chico State Bravo!!
Staying here, you can never anticipate what's the next interesting story gonna hear. We all like sharing stories and jokes. People with different cultures study with each other, cooperate with each other and teasing with each other...! Big warm family! That's the perfect word to depict our business graduate school. We have our lovely grad lab, lovely advisor, and lovely people...

As freshman of MSA program, I'm rushing into the third month of study here in CSU right now. It's such an unique experience that I still feel like living in dreams now and then. After 2 years of full-time working in Auditing Business in China, I'm glad that I finally got the chance to have a long enough period of time to further improve myself by learning in CSU's accounting program. The best thing along with my studying is the chance to make a lot of new friends from different culture and with various background. My fellow classmates are very nice and inspiring, which makes me soon forget all about the loneliness and fit myself into my new life.
For those who want to become an expert in accounting and gain considerable knowledge in Database management and SAP configuration, I highly recommend this school, come and experience the difference!

Attending CSU Chico's MBA program was a great move for me. The total experience has been nothing but positive. Learning new ideas and skills was not the only benefit. The MBA program has many international students and I really enjoyed studying and metting students from so many areas of the world that I otherwise would never had met. It has been a great experience!

The MBA Program at California State University, Chico is terrific. It has given me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. The faculty is excellent and always willing to assist students. Our graduate advisor, Sandy Jensen, is also wonderful. The Graduate Business Association has provided students an opportunity to develop friendships. Through such activities as international cuisine parties, barbeques, bowling and field trips, we have all learned from each other. The Chico community is warm and welcoming. It jas been a fantastic experience!
Best wishes to everyone.

I recieved my undergraduate degree from Chico State in the Spring 2002. I had a great time and learned quite a lot, but students mostly kept to themselves, when it came to class work. Once I was accepted into the MBA prpgram I found the situation quite different. If I need help with a class project, homework, or even studying almost every student would find time to help. The program fosters an excellent learning environment with great students, teachers, and staff who are willing to go the extra mile for each and every student.

Chico is a rural college town located in Northern California and is 1.5 hours north of Sacramento and 3.5 hours drive to San Francisco! Students often decide to stay longer here due to its laid back atomosphere, slower pace, and friendly students. Summertime is hot here but my favoritetime of year since many students leave and the local community and peoplestand out more. Other favorites here include the Sierra Nevada Brewery and Restaurant, Bidwell Park (upper park swimming holes), farmers market, golfing, and biking. Recommended classes; Mins 110 (MIS Intro, I was a TA with Ryota), Mins 118 (Oracle Database, Skip has some good attributes), Mins 298 (Special Topics, occasionally some interesting course topicsoffered.) Grad students coming in Chico don't necessarily have to go in the MBA program. I decided to create my own Interdisciplinary Program called Internet Development. Good luck to all who come, you will be glad you did!

Badar Alkandari Kuwait

My name is Badar and I'm from Kuwait. My undergraduate degree was in Mass Communications & Journalism from Fresno State and now I'm studying MBA in Chico State and my focus in Finance. I've known Ryota since last year we had MKTG 170 last semester Fall 2002 before I started the MBA program. I really enjoyed knowing Ryota, he is a fun guy and he loves marketing;P(just kidding. I wish you the best Ryota.

I came to Chico in January 2001, my cousin studied here and he gave me the idea to move to California. The first thing that I did was start working in my English. After that I was just getting ready to take GMAT. I was always keeping my goal of the MBA on my mind. I took one step after the other, and this May I will be graduating.
The most important thing that we have to remember about the MBA, is that this is the place to learn about different cultures and people. We are in a business major and sometimes we take the MBA as some graduate classes, and that is not the idea. The idea is to preapare you to be a successful professional in a global economy. It has been difficult and sometimes a pleacure to have some interaction with people from all over the planet.

Chico is a wonderful community, and the presence of the university definitely adds life to it. The casual and laid back nature of the community gives it a "friendly"atmosphere. I see it as, "Everyone in Chico is your friend, you just haven't officially met him/her yet". As for the MBA program and the university life, well, it has been one of my best experience ever. I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else:) The program is culturally diverse. Its grear! As an international student myself, I have met phenominal people from all over the world in ONE Place at ONE Time. Now that's the best way to experience the world... wouldn't you say? Everyone I have befriended has touched my life in a unique way. Thanks to you all for that. I will take my what I have learned and my experiences it with me on my life's journey. I wish you all well.

Here is the last semester for me and graduation is right on the corner! I have been enjoying Chico for over 2.5 years, and I definitely believe that it was a great idea to choose Chico State for the MBA program. I had tough time while I was working, and I actually had missed being student. There is no doubt that Chico is one of the best places to study. Since I am from a metropolitan city, I found Chico really relax and enjoying. I know that I will definitely remeber Chico for my entire life. Besides this fun student life, the MBA program itself was full of learning experiences to me. Also I enjoyed being a part of GBA board in my last semester, and I believe that we set a really good environment to have some cultural sharing, close friendships, and opportunities for proactive student experiences. I wish all current and prospective MBA folks a great time in Chico State and I took forward to hearing from all of you in the near future.
