Theme of Design:  Light and Shadow

Materials:            Synthetic Felt, Sheet-sponges,

                         Rubber-coated cloth, Rain boots

Colors:                White, Gray and Black

First, the white synthetic felt is glued together with black sheets of sponge which is then cut out into thin strips.  Finally, a bit of white felt is dipped into gray dye in order to express the contrast between the light and shadow of the snow.  Rubber-coated cloth was used for mittens and boots.  This ski wear is coordinated from the boots to the hood in all-in-one style.

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　白の化繊不織布と黒のシートスポンジを接着シートで表裏一体にする。その生地を細いストライプ状に裁断する。生地の断面は光と影をイメージし、輪郭をはっきりと浮かび上げる。グラデーションにグレーに染め分け、立体に編み上げて形成する。黒いゴム引きの生地はミトンからカフスへ、ブーツはパンツの裾へと続き一体化する。フードから足元までのオールインワンのスキーウェアとなる。

 スポーツブランドのミズノが主催するファッションコンテスト。ファッションコンテストであるがスポーツウェアとしてのデザインコンテストであり１万８千点の応募の中から山本寛斎によってこの作品のデザイン画が選ばれた。最終選考会で５点の優秀な作品を各審査員が選び、安部憲章のベストセレクション賞を受賞。
