The Gift from Beate was awarded the 56th “Art Encouragement Prize “ in 2005 by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.

I appreciate your interests in the documentary film, “The Gift from Beate”. Since its first release at Iwanami Hall in Tokyo, where the film was screened for ten consecutive weeks in 2005, the film was shown well over 200 times throughout Japan.

Following its success in Japan, the presentation has started in Europe, the US and other countries.
