Current Product Version 2.1.0.1 Service Release 3: Discard any previous version and use the current version for most stability and reliability. There is still room for internal improvements, however: a must upgrade for every user.
News & Fixes
News and fixes in 2.1.0.1:
  • Caution(on overwriting versions prior to 2.0.5.3): Project files are now saved in '\Project' folder under Kudaz install folder. Users need to re-configure their existing projects from scratch.

  • Caution(on overwriting versions prior to 1.9.6.6): As some binary storage styles have changed, existing users should delete the following types of files from Kudaz install folder before running Kudaz for the first time after install , if it is being installed in a folder of any prior version. Otherwise, Kudaz may well crash while it is running: *.fml, *.bin, *.mru
  • improved Increased stability and reliability.

  • new Save Here Direct
  • new Cyclic Search - 'Continue at end' option on search, replace dialog box for contiguous search/replace beyond the beginning(if backward) or end(if forward) of a document. Even if the search was started from the caret location the whole document is covered without halt. (handy)

  • new Explore This Path in Project Panel context menu.
  • new Saving / loading output results to / from a file in Output Box context menu.
  • fixed (critical): Kudaz crashed on a 'More...' button click of HTML color palette when invoked with selected text that was longer than 8 characters in length.

  • fixed Tool bar controls and menu items were not reflecting changes in a document after Replace All operation.
  • fixed Occasional caret-miss-positioning on snip text insertion.
  • fixed Occasionally falling into dead-lock while browsing folders in Folders panel.
  • fixed Producing error from mistaking it for a non-existent one when the length of a target file's extension is longer than three characters in length:(eg: a.java)

  • fixed improved Header area arrangement bugs in print preview and added three more options for that in print settings. The preview window has become sizable now.

  • fixed Tiny bugs in selection modes updates. (available on tool bar now)
  • fixed Access Violation on project removal: the target project class object was referred to after its deletion.

  • Changed: Deleted document is not automatically rendered as modified any more.
  • Changed: Does not display a message box when an MRU file was not found on start-up when the application was closed without an existing file previously (when Start With MRU file is enabled).

  • Changed: Project::Remove non-existent: removes not only ones in the currently listed(filtered) items but also those in all items of the current project, now.

  • And other tiny fixes, changes and betterment here and there.

News and fixes in 1.9.9.9:
  • fixed Fixed: Memory leaks on auto-completion items loading and on bringing up Configuration dialog. (Some amount of memory space occupied by the operations was not released after use)

  • fixed Fixed: Every awkward bug in 1.9.6.6 including those related to HTML image recognition.
  • improved Faster and better auto-completion.
License Category Lifetime Freeware: Kudaz SDI(Single Document Interface) is free for user's life time and has no plan to change its clothes to shareware outfits as long as it is released in SDI fashion. Evaluate and use it for free freely during your life time for educational/non-commercial/individual purpose only.
Recursive logic: why is it neither an MDI nor a shareware application.

What is it for? Kudaz is a user-friendly programmer's editor with selective syntax-highlighting capabilities that currently supports 53 languages/scripts all told below.

Operating System Any 32-or-higher-bit version of Windows (950, 950a, OSR-1, OSR-2, 98, 98SE, NT 4 or higher , ME, XP, 2000, 2003, Vista)
Display 16-bit colors(capable of displaying more than 65535 colors) , 800 x 600 screen resolution
Install Just run kdz2101.exe in the downloaded zip file and follow its instructions.
Deinstall
  • As usual with other programs. But, Kudaz involves no registry tweaks for its settings. All its settings are stored in several INI files and in some binary files under Kudaz install folder.

  • Manual Deinstall (same as the above auto-deinstall):

    1. Delete Kudaz install folder( eg) C:\Program Files\Kudaz )
    2. Delete Registry uninstall key in order that Kudaz may not appear under Control panel's 'Add/Remove Program' section ( eg) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Kudaz_is1 )

Current Release Executable File Only Download The user may well download the following newest executable and help file only and replace the old ones on his or her system with them if he or she is already a user :

New users should download Kudaz full setup version via any of the above download location.

Notes 		Kudaz is a stand-alone application for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/2003/XP/Vista.
So it may well run with kudaz.exe alone.

Setup creator is InnoSetup version 5.
