| Many thanks to a Canadian who was able to help the Japanese police arrests a criminal! God has sent an angel to Japan. I don't know whether this man is a real flesh and blood person or just my imagined, ideal human being personified. Either way, I believe that God sent him to the exact place at the exact time to solve a criminal case. Let's call him Francois, C.B.F.(by this I mean a Canadian born French). The incident took place while Francois was standing in the male dressing room, naked, having just finished his enjoyable bath in the Onsen in Keio Nagayama on April 3rd. Feeling very much refreshed, he began to dress himself. From the corner of his eye he could see another naked man, middle aged, walking in the direction of yet another naked man. Suddenly the first man started to yell at the other. He closed the distance and, still yielling, proceed to hit the other man`s throat with the hand.@The victim was ver much puzzled as to why he had been so savagely assaulted. However, the violent man hadn`t yet finished, and proceeded to hit the unfortunate victim two or three times more. The victim, very much shocked, fell to the floor, and seated himself. Another man who had witnessed the event had already disappeared not wanting to become involved. However, Francois remained, witnessing the events in their entirety. Hence, he was the only witness. When the police arrived, Francoise offered to give a statement about what he had witnessed. This came as a great relief to the police, as there was no other evidence. Francois was escorted to the central police station in a police car. He proceeded to illustrate the position of both the victim and the suspect during the event. It took him a couple of hours to complete his explanation. Francois needed to work very early next day, at 7:30AM. This meant getting up at 5:30. He could have easily left the scene earlier, however, his inherent feelings of righteousness wouldn't allow him to. His testimony proved the innocence of the victim who hadn`t even hit the suspect back (he had just been assaulted and had offered no resistance). The suspect had actually accused the victim of trying to steal "his stool", which he said had been kicked away by the victim. Francois illustrated what he saw and explained it to the police officer. If it hadn't been for Francois, this case would have been closed much earlier sans solution. There were many people in the men's dressing room and everybody had heard the voice yelling (the noise even reached the women's changing room). However, nobody dared to help; everyone was just afraid and unwilling to get involved. Francois felt he couldn't neglect the case and decided to be the witness. He wrote the official statement and gave it his signature. They finished up at the twelve midnight. Then two police officers drove him home to Shinjuku. When he arrived, it was already 1:00. He sacrifised his own time and energy for this criminal case. This man was only 21 years old. Wem the people of Japan, wish to thank him for his contribution to our society and allowing justice to be served. God bless him, a man of noble spirit, in the name of justice!
