It's been a long time since THE LETTERMEN, with letters on their sweaters, tore up the music charts with "The Way You Look Tonight" in 1961.Formed in Los Angeles, California, THE LETTERMEN are a harmonic vocal group consisting of Tony Butala, Bob Engemann and Jim Pike. The Lettermen's romantic, ballad-style vocalizing found a wide audience despite rock'n'roll's preeminence in the '60s. Their prime supporters were young, as indicated by their tremendous popularity on the college concert circuit. | ||||||
