「日本ＵＡＥ文化センター」は、ＵＡＥに滞在する日本人とＵＡＥナショナルとの人的交流・相互理解をたすけるために創設された文化交流団体です。UAEナショナルと日本人のみを対象としております。

センターでは、ＵＡＥの文化、歴史、生活習慣、価値観、イスラームに関する知識などを伝えるさまざまなコースを、ＵＡＥに住む日本人のために用意します。

同時に、日本の文化、社会、生活習慣などを伝えるコースをＵＡＥナショナルに用意しています。

コースは教室で教わるだけでなく、文化施設（博物館、モスク、資料館など）や、ＵＡＥナショナル宅への訪問も行なっています。

また月に一度ソーシャルディ（交流日）を開催し、講習を受けている両国人が、直接話し合い、交流しあう日を設置しています。この日は簡単なゲームをしたり、人気のＤＶＤを上映したりして、自由に気楽に話を進めてもらいます。

またセンターは常駐の場所を持たないので、資料を保存する場所はありませんが、必要に応じてさまざまな資料を貸し出し。あるいは提供しています。

現在、若い世代のUAEナショナルの間では、アニメ・マンガ・TVドラマを発端にして日本文化への興味が急速に高まっています。日本に対する留学熱も最近非常に高まっており、、実際に今年はセンターで学んだ２名の学生が日本へ留学していきました。

ＵＡＥ高等技術大学のドバイ女子カレッジ、アブダビ女子カレッジでは、日本語の授業が行なわれております。またザイード大学のドバイ校、アブダビ校には日本クラブがあります。
彼・彼女らにとってマンガやインターネットを通して知る以外に、実際の日本人との交流は限られています。

日本ＵＡＥ文化センターは、こうしたUAEナショナルと在留邦人を結ぶ拠点となっています。

UAE-Japan Cultural Center is established in March 2008.
Its objective is to promote mutual understanding of UAE and Japan
in terms of culture and humanact. It is a NGO organization.

The center offers many different UAE cultural courses to Japanese residents in UAE,
as well as different Japanese cultural courses and language course to UAE nationals.

Not only giving the courses, it holds Social Day once a month.
This day for both nationalities to meet, talk, and interact.

The center also offers Summer Camp for high school and college studets.
We had Summer Camp 2008 for boys and girls in different week.
More than 20 students participated in this camp.
After this camp, two students departed to Japan for their higher education.

The center 's another aim is to establish the network of ex-students
who have studied in Japan.
There are more than 30 UAE nationals who have studied in Japanese universities.
As their timing and places of the universities are different,
the alumni association does not exist in UAE like other countries.
UAE-Japan Cultural Center is now making strong network for these students.
