 Preface  

      After April, 2004, I am investigating bio-diversity and distribution of earthworm in Fukuoka Kyushu.( April 1, 2004-June 18, 2005 )

           The author had been researching earthworm's ecology from 1967 to 1989. However, I did not contribute these results to the science magazine etc.　At that time, the taxonomy of the earthworm in Japan was not advanced enough.Several species of the earthworm that I had collected were the undescriptions.　Therefore, I wrote these earthworms by not the scientific name but the sign.　One of the reasons why I did not contribute my ecology research to the science magazine is in "Several abundant earthworm were the undescriptions". I hope to receive earthworm's taxonomist's cooperation, and to report on the earthworm's taxonomy in Fukuoka as soon as possible. And, I want to rewrite the species name in my earthworm's ecology from 1967 to 1989 to a correct scientific name and want to contribute the result to the science magazine. (October 7, 2005)

     Preface  

     I researched earthworm's ecology in IBP Minamata and the Fukuoka City suburban   area in graduate school age (1968-1974). I analyzed these results from 1974 to 1989, and I made the manuscript in weak English. Afterwards, I attempted some consideration of the living state of earthworm. Moreover, I attempted the consideration of "I observing the living state of earthworm". These are shown in present Home Page. A lot of tables and figures are used for this report. It is difficult to show the table and figure on the web page. Therefore, the main part of this report is shown with the PDF file. (October 30, 2000    February  1,2002      March 8, 2003,  June 20, 2003)

PHILOSOPHY

Preface  

I started earthworm's ecology in the fashion of the bio-economics. When my earthworm ecology ended, the bio-economics ended or disappeared. Instead, it changed the paradigm of ecology for "Survival Strategy" and "bio-diversity". Does the content of the research change by the fashion? To verify this, I began to write thereafter the second. "How is earthworm's living state understood?" became my problem for that.
