名探偵モンク
原題 『Monk』

妻が殺されたことがきっかけで病的なまでに潔癖性で恐がりで神経質になってしまった刑事のモンク。今は休職中の身のモンクだが相棒（付き添い）の看護士シャローナと共に難事件を見事に解決するのであったが、シャローナが去った後は新助手のナタリーと共に事件を解決する日々を送るのであった。

期待通りの面白さ。気に入っておる。NHKよ、中途半端な放送ではなくしっかり全話放送するぐらいの気持ちで頼む。パイロット版（第1話）、実はwowowで入ってたらしい。そして2003年から既にレンタルも始まっていたらしい。知らなかった。チェックが甘かった。

とはいえ、テレビで見られるものを借りてまで見る気はないからNHKに感謝の日々なのだ。

出演料の問題で俺の大好きなシャローナが消えてしまったのは残念だが、後釜のナタリーもそんなに悪くは無いと思えるようになってきた。が、ベンジー（浅井健一じゃないよ）も消えたのはとばっちりだなあと少し、かわいそうな気分なのだがショービジネスの世界は厳しいのだよね。

2007年の今はナタリーに全く違和感が無い俺。すまない、シャローナ。

2008年4月、新シリーズが始まった。去年は違和感無かったのに今年はシャローナが恋しくて仕方ない。すまん、ナタリー。

7シーズン目（日本でいうところの「モンク６」）、はほとんどみないまま2010年最終シーズンへ。なんとかふんばってみていたがやはり一度薄れた興味を取り戻すのは疲れたよ。そこに残った若さ取り出してみたが無理だった。
最後ということでシャローナがゲストで復活したけど久しぶり過ぎてむしろ違和感だったのとなんか下世話な感じになってたのが残念だった。懐かしかったけどね。最後ということでトゥルーディー事件も解決。中途半端に終わらず、きちんとまとめたところは良かったと思う。って何様だよ俺。

モンクの付き添い看護士。性格はきつい。バツイチで息子と暮らしている。夫との復縁を考えたことも一瞬あったがやめた。そしてある日突然モンクの元を去り、夫と再婚してしまった。
