I am a sugar engineer (29 years experience in Dai-Nippon Sugar Mfg. CO., Ltd.), and consulting engineer (production control) qualified by Japanese government.
To do the consulting job, I have visited and stayed at sugar factories in many countries since 1969 to 1995 and the countries visited were Thailand (49 times stayed there total 1,153 days from 1971 to 1995), Honduras, Korea, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka (2 times total stay 41 days 1984&85), Philippine, Panama and Puerto Rico.
I established cooperated with local engineers a CARE system for the plantation refinery, 34 factories produced refined sugar in 1994/95 in Thailand. Almost of all refined sugar produced by CARE system in the cane sugar factories there. My main job through my consulting work to sugar factories was this one . Concerning this project, I tripped Thailand 19 times stayed at 8 sugar factories 887 days in total from 1971/72 to 1993/94 season.
In this home page, I explain both of technically and historically about the plantation refinery in Thailand.
In case of Honduras project, I advised technically on new sugar factory for Azucarera Central S.A. de C.V. (5000 TCD), from preliminary study to operation control after finished the construction. I stayed there 186 days altogether 6 times (once a year) from 1974 to 1979.
Korea; Consultant for expansion and operation control of sugar
refinery for Dong Rip Ind. Development Co., Ltd. (150 T/D) 4 times from
1969 to 1974 stayed 78 days in total.
