Chavo Guerrero Sr. answers to Fan's Questions

@@

@

Mr. Guerrero,

I became a wrestling fan watching you in California at the Olympic Auditorium.

I have fond memories of watching you wrestle with or against your father and brothers,

Texas Red, Roddy Piper, Victor Rivera, Moondog Mayne, Robot C3,

Carlos Mata, Gordman and Goliath, and many more

(of course with Johnny "Red Shoes" Duggan as the referee).

As long as I've been a fan, nothing compares to those shows that you all put on.

My son (age 9) is now hooked and has dreams of becoming a professional wrestler.

What advice would you give him (and me) in regards to choosing that career path?

Thank you for your time and for the wonderful memories.

Dear chavo classic,

i am a 36yr old wrestling fan from Australia

and have been an avid follower of the legendary guerrero family.

Eddie has been my hero for a long time now and my three boys also idolize him,

I two have battled personal demons and have overcome them using eddie as my role model

and have just one regret in life and that is that I never got to meet him myself

and tell him how much he means to me not just as a wrestler but also as a human being

r.i.p eddie viva la raza forever in my heart.

I have two questions for you chavo :

firstly apart from eddie have you or any of the legendary guerreros ever wrestled in Australia ?

And secondly coming from Australia how could I obtain autographs from yourself and chavo jnr.

Thank you for your time mr. guerrero and god bless you and your family forever.

( by David Campbell Wilson in Brisbane, Australia )

@

Chavo, jr. wrestles in Australia often when wwe goes.

As far as autographs, I am in the process of set up a web-store, thanks,

Hello Mr. Guerrero,

I have been a long time fan of your entire family dating back to when I was 8 yrs old in Austin, TX.

My dad used to take me and my 2 brothers to the City Coliseum

to watch Southwest Championship Wrestling on Sunday afternoons.

I had the chance to watch you beat Ted DiBiase Sr. for the US title

at the Battle of the Alamo in San Antonio in 1985.

Your brother Hector was on the show as well as your late father.

My question is this, I know that you have a son (Chavo Jr.) and a daughter.

I also know that Eddie has 3 daughters.

Do any of your other siblings (sisters included) have sons

who might one day continue the Guerrero family legacy ?

Thanks.

( by Daniel Rerucha in San Diego, CA. )

@

CHAVO, JR. HAS 2 SONS THAT MIGHT ONE DAY CONTINUE THE LEGACY.

THANKS,

Hello Mr. Guerrero,

I just wanted to find out if you appeared on the PILA show in El Monte, CA on 5/17.

I emailed them to find out if the show was still happening but I never got a response.

Also do you plan on working for your friend Jesse Hernandez's promotion EWF in the future?

I enjoyed your run as champion there a couple of years ago.  Thanks.

( by Daniel Rerucha in San Diego, CA. )

@

THE SHOW WAS CANCELLED,

BUT I UNDERSTAND IT WILL BE ON THE 2ND OR 3RD WEEK IN JUNE.

THANKS FOR THE E-MAIL AND PLEASE TELL UR FRIENDS

Hello, Mr. Guerrero,

Being your fan since your California days,

afraid to say I just found your web-page only yesterday.

Thanks for the maximum website.

By the way, my son recently told me you're completely

retired from the wrestling business ?

I never want to believe that and show me and everyone he's wrong, please.

I grew up seeing you in the Olympic auditorium,

that gave me power and energy to my life.

Chavo, thank you so much.

( by Juan Gonzales in Long Beach, CA. )

@

Juan, I still do signing sessions

and I will be in El Monte on May 17 to do a wrestling show.

CHAVO GUERRERO

( Oct. 9th, 2007 )

@

Mr. Chavo Guerrero,@let me begin by saying Hello from El Paso.

My question is When Chavo Jr. started wrestling.

Did you want him to wrestle in Juarez like you all did

or did you want him to start in the independent circuit here in the United States?

or did he make that decision?

I do remember seeing him here in Juarez a couple of times

back in the mid 90's with Eddie and Hector.

Also Do you think it might of helped him?

Why? or Why Not?

Look forward to your answer.

Thank You for your time.

( by Frank Munoz in El Paso, TX. )

@

Mr. Munoz, Chavo wrestled were ever he could get booked at the beginning.

It did not matter to me where as long as he got some experience.

CHAVO GUERRERO

( Sept. 6th, 2007 )

@

Hi Chavo, just heard you will be at a show in Pearsall and I will try to be there to support you.

You're one of my favorite , since the days of the Olympic Aud.

I got the shoot interview you gave a few years ago and really enjoyed it.

Who was the masked "Texas" during your time at the O. Aud. ?

Not Texas Red (R BAstien) but the one with a Texas map on his mask? Simply called Texas.

Did you enjoy teaming with Mil Mascaras ?

Recently he was at a show we went to and was supposed to sign autographs

but he left after only a few minutes.

They told us there that he's like that and that he doesn't really care too much about his fans.

That was sad , after someone we admired.

Chavo, do you keep in touch with Jose Lothario/ Roddy Piper ?

We support all the Guerrero family !@What a legendary familia !

( by Albert Perales in San Antonio )

@

Mr. Perales, thank you for your interest and your questions.

I don't remember who the "Texas" was.

I will be in Devine, Texas on the 8 of Sept.

Mil has always been like that.

Thank you for your support and I'm looking forward to meeting you,

CHAVO GUERRERO

Hello Mr. Guerrero,

I visit your site at least twice a week

and have been enjoying the photos from your tour of Japan.

Looks like you had a great time.

In a few of the photos, I saw a T-shirt with your father in the heavens

and then you, Mando, Chavo Jr., Eddy, and Hector below him.

Can I buy one of these shirts?@And if so, where can I get it?

Thanks.

@

Hello Chavo,@I used to sit in the front row at the matches in San Jose for years,

first for the Roy Shires then LeBelle promotions.

Do you remember the following incident?

You were teaming with Mil Mascaras against I believe Bomber Ray

and Dynamite Jack Evans, but I could be wrong on your opponents.

Anyway, there was this trouble maker guy that used to come to the matches

and put these two blonde goons up to jumping you two.

They were quite drunk and rumor had it they were football players at San Jose State.

At the end of the match, they were circling the ring, clearly looking for a fight.

You saw it coming and jumped off the apron with your butt right in

one of the guy's chest and the fight was on.@It was right in front of us

and you and Mil wiped the floor with them and reduced them to tears.

I remember it like it was yesterday.  Until you healed, I would guess

you didn't get into too many dustups with fans.  Do you remember this?

Thanks.  I've really enjoyed your work.

Once Pat Patterson left SF and you came to LA and beat Ladd and the Funks,

you were my childhood favorite.

( by Derek Sousa in California )

@

Hey Derek, I remember very well the situation you are talking about.

It was a wild night and I don't think I ever saw those guys again.

Thanks for the memories.

@

Hi Chavo,

You were my very favorite wrestler when I watched you as a kid

when you wrestled at the Olympic Auditorium.

The feud with Roddy Piper was so good.

I wish there was video from that era available to the public.

I was just wondering if you kept in touch with any of the other LA wrestlers

I used to watch like Carlos & Raul Mata, Al Madril, Victor Rivera, etc.?

That era is still my favorite of all time

and I just wanted to thank you for all the great memories you provided.

Take care.

( by Gary T. Glendale, CA )

@

Thanks, Gary.

I still keep in touch with Raul and Carlos Mata, and I just saw

Roddy Piper at the Eddie Guerrero golf tournament in October.

CHAVO GUERRERO

( Jan. 14th, 2007 )

@

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday, Chavo !

Please answer to my questions.

Yesterday I got a wrestling video of you from my friend,

in which Ted Dibiase threw you white powders and hit your crotch

into the iron fence of the (probably) Sam Houston Coliseum,

that made most of the fans boo and curse Dibiase.

That match seems to be held in 1985 and you were wearing white tights

and Dibiase red one.@Do you remember that match ?

And do you have any memories of Low Blows you suffered ?

Wish you A Happy 2007 !

( by David Page in Palm Springs, CA )

@

I try not to remember matches with low blows,

but believe me I have had my share of them, especially in Mexico.

CHAVO GUERRERO

( Jan. 9th, 2007 )

@

Chavo Sr.

Let me begin by saying that I think that you and your brothers and son are

GOOD wrestlers.@I remember watching you all wrestle in Juarez at the Plaza Balderas

and at the Arena Internacional and at the Gimnasio Municipal.

My questions to you are. Would you all consider putting on a wrestling card

with a local promoter ? similar to what you did in Florida with golf.

My other question is Will there ever be a BOOK/DVD about your father Gory Guerrero?

My last question/comment is I have a t-shirt that I bought from you at a local wrestling show

about a year and a half ago. You did me the favor of autographing it. A couple of months ago

your brother Hector was here in El Paso and he did me the favor of autographing it also.

My question is how can I get Mando and Chavo Jr. to autograph it for me?

Is there any way you can help me with that?@I'll be looking for your answer.

One more thing. I can tell you all really enjoy performing in the ring, even now.

Thank You for your time.

( by Frank Munoz in El Paso, Texas )

@

Thank you Frank,

yes, we would be interested in participating in a venue in E. P.

As far as the t-shirt signed be Mando and Chavo,

you would have to catch them at a show.

I am in the process of writing a book

and a lot of my father's story will be in it.

CHAVO GUERRERO

( Nov. 18th, 2006 )

@

Dear, chavosr,

my first qustein is when you found out that eddie guerrero was dead how did feel?

my secound qustein is when eddie guerrero was being inducted into the hall of fame

by chavo jr, rey mysterio and chris benoit; when they were done and eddie music played

i saw you holding your hand, did u want to induct eddie?

my last qustein is out of the whole guerrero family who do u think is the best wrestler?

chavo sr i want u to know that i respect the guerrero family from gory to eddie guerrero.

eddie was and steel is my favorite wrestler you to chavo. vivalaraza.

by the way your mom is pretty and she is a strong women.

grisha bagiryan

( by Grisha Bagiryan in the U.S.A. )

@

Dear Grisha, I WAS DEVASTATED when word reached me of Eddie's passing.

It would have been an honor for me to induct Eddie,

but WWE made the right choice.

All of us Guerrero's are great wrestlers and we all think

that each one of us is the best because even though we are brothers

we were taught by my father to always be competitive.

Thank you for the kind words toward the Guerrero family

and my beautiful Mother.

CHAVO GUERRERO

( Nov. 14th, 2006 )

@

Chavo!   It's me Martin from the Arena Internacional HOOD again.

Chavo I was wondering how do you think you would of handle Kurt Angle in a mano a mano match?

I know that you had great Olympic experience and would gave him a run for his money.

My second question is did you ever wrestled Ric Flair and If you did how did it go,

and what do you think of him as a competitor?

And last but not least I heard your interview on the Mayhem radio

and hear about jealousy from different competitors at the old Olympic Auditorium.

I has the pleasure of seeing you there many times,

but my brother and I had an intrigue all the time

that Mil Mascaras was there! We notice that he was a little jealous of you,

Is this a fact or my brother and I were just two kids that were amazed by your ring performances

and didn't think no one was able to out due you in the ring at that time including the great Mil Mascaras

Chavo thank you for your time my prayers go to you and your family

and specially for your great Mom for being such a strong human being with Eddie's passing.

I hope we all can collaborate on his 1st year of his passing

and elevate a pray to the heavens in his memory.

( by Martin Chavira in Los Angeles, CA. )

@

Hola Martin, mi hermano.

Thanks for writing and to answer your questions:

I wrestled Kurt Angle in  a tag with my son Chavo

and he's a great wrestler, competitor and performer.

I would love to wrestle a mano a mano with him so I can learn from him.

I have the outmost respect for him.

Rick Flair is one of the greatest performers in our bussiness,

but you see one match of his and you have seen them all.

Nevertheless I would love to wrestle the legend.

Mil Mascaras was and is always for Mil Mascaras.

I wrestled him in Japan and the match was not that great

partly because he didn't want to do anything.

He is another one match you have seen them all guy.

Same moves all the time.

Thanks for the kind words to my beautiful Mother.

We will all be praying on November 17,

thanking Jesus for all the blessing he has granted us,

especially the blessing of our lord JESUS CHRIST,

and for granting us Eddie for 38 beautiful years.

I invite everyone who reads this e-mail to pray for the less fortunate,

the sick, the hungry, and thanking JESUS, for all his blessings and favors.

GOD BLESS Martin,

CHAVO GUERRERO

( Nov. 8th, 2006 )

@

Hey Chavo!!! @it is me again Dennis Tomanka!

i thank you so so much for awnsering my questions

my daughter was so happy that you responded!

i hope you dont mind me asking you some more questions

1) Chavo Jr. is a great wrestler, did he take after you?

2) My daughter now wants to take after you and be a wrestler, any advice for her?

3) Doesnt wrestling take alot of time from your regular life?

4) I am glad that you like the Under Taker,

have you ever worked with him as a partner or talked with him outside of the ring?

5) You must be so buisy with reading and responding to emails every day

do you ever get tired of them?

My daughter says she loves you and wants to be just like you.

I would also wish to be just like you but i dont think i could do it.

You are a great hero Chavo everyone must love you!

( by Dennis Tomanka in the U.S.A. )

@

Hey Dennis, Chavo takes after me to a certain point, but he is his own man

and turning out to be a great wrestler and performer.

He has gone through a lot of negative and positive situations,

but this is all a part of learning and experience, and he is meeting the challenge.

Your daughter needs to get a degree first so she has something to fall back on

and she wants to really be a wrestler, go for it!

Undertaker and I have a respectable friendship and I have never wrestled him,

but I have studied him and would love to wrestle him.

Answering e-mails takes a little time but I love every aspect of this bussiness

and this is part of it, the fans.

I don't think everyone loves me but thank you for your kind comments,

CHAVO GUERRERO

( Nov. 8th, 2006 )

@

Hey chavo!!!!!

i wanted to ask you a few questions and i hope that you will right back to me.

1) I love your work, how did you become such a wrestler?

2) how long have you been wrestling?

3) have you ever fought against Hulk Hogan?

4) The Under Taker is scary! i know he has fought your son... but has he fought you?

5) Who is your greatest hero and why?

6) do you have any pets?

that is all of my questions thanks you soo so much for taking your time to read them!

I will always have your word!

I am a huge fan of yours!!!

( by Dennis Tomanka in the U.S.A. )

@

HEY DENNIS, I have been wrestling since I can remember.

I became so good because I lived, ate, walked, dreamed

and practiced very hard to become a wrestler.

I was also very blessed with wrestling

the biggest names in wrestling of my time.

I've never wrestled Hulk Hogan, but I spent some time with him in JAPAN.

Never have wrestled Undertaker,

Hi, Chavo.@Thank U so much for the great pics

on Eddie Guerrero Memorial Golf Tournament.

It's terrific to see many happy faces of you and the dear-old wrestlers.

Hope the event will go on all the way.

My questions.

1) What sports besides wrestling do you like (to play) most ?

2) Also, what do you like (to watch) most ?

3) What do you think is the key to your good health ?

4) Is there any country you visited as a wrestler

besides North & South America, Europe and Japan ?

If any, won't you show me your impression for that country ?

Thanks for the time.@God Bless you.

( by Dan Hartman in Tucson, Arizona )

@

Mr. Dan, thank you.

Yes, Clyde Jensen of Cherry's Restaurants

and Mike Tanner of Tanner Embroideries

and of course the Guerrero's, are already planning next years event.

The event went very well.

We built some strong relations with sponsors and wrestlers.

We all had a great time and the boy's were absolutely fabulous.

You know, I have been an athlete all my life.

Some of the sports I have played or play are: wrestling, basketball, baseball,

football, racketball, golf, swimming, skiing, weightlifting, bicycling, and jogging.

I love movies, suspense and drama, of course wrestling,

and the history and discovery channel.

I really don't know what the key to my good health is,

but eating healthy, working out and mainly the favor of JESUS CHRIST.

As far as countries visited, I have visited many and loved them all, especially Japan.

One country my brother Mando and I visited was Lebanon,

and let me tell you, we had a unique experience there,

but you have to wait untill the book comes out to read on it, sorry.

Good questions, God Bless,

Dear Chavo, I often saw your match at the Olympic in LA

Please let me ask you some q's.

1)  Where did your nickname "Chavo" come from ?

2)  Who was  (a) the most cheerful  and  ( b) the most  "hard to please"  wrestler

you've ever faced in the wrestling world ?

3)  Have you ever got a serious injury in the ring or in your private life ?

4)  Do you have any plan to write an autobiography ?

Thank you Chavo for taking the time.

Hi Isabella,

this Awesome web-site is credited to Tadda and Sadda.

They do a tremendous job.

Chavo is a nickname in Mexico for Salvador, my first name.

I don't please any wrestlers, I please the paying audience.

If I can give them their money's worth

and convince them to come back, yeah.

I have gotten so many injuries - it would take a book to describe them.

Dear Chavo, please let me ask you one thing.

As long as I see your answer to the last question (Q14),

it seems that you were familiar to Stan Hansen

and I'd like to know if it's true or just a joke.

Many Japanese wrestlers whom I talked with don't like Hansen

because they say Hansen usually wrestled in his own authority

just like Mil Mascaras.

On the other hand, they say they love you Chavo

because you always made the best use of the favorite moves

of the opponent wrestlers.

If it's true that you and Hansen were good friends,

he had a charm in his character, didn't he ?

If it's a nasty question, please forgive me, Chavo.

Takashi Matsuura ( Your fan for more than 20 years )

( by Takashi Matsuura, Tokyo, Japan )

@

Dear Mr. Matsuura,

thank you for being my fan

and there is nothing you have done to forgive you.

Very good question.

Stan and I were very good friends outside the ring,

but inside the ring, if we were wrestling against each other

which I think only happened once, we were enemies.

He did what he had to do and I did what I had to do.

Hope I answered your question.  Thanks.

Hi, Chavo. Thank you so much for the opportunity

to ask you some questions.

I'd like to ask you :

1) What would you like to do if you're the president of the States?

2) What would you do at first if the world will be ruined next week?

3) In your entire wrestling career, what do you consider your best match

and who (besides your father and brothers) was your best tag team partner ?

4) I live in Atlanta, GA, do you have any memory for the city or the area?

Thank you for the time Chavo, a great fighter !

( by Andy Perry, Georgia, U.S.A. )

@

Hi Andy, I would never want to be Pres. of U.S.

If the world was to end next week, I would pray every second.

I have had many great matches and I don't think I can just pin point one.

From Atlanta, I remember wrestling at the Omni, living at Falcon's Crest,

and traveling and fraternizing with Stan Hansen.

Thank you.

Hello, Chavo !@I'm a big fan of your son Chavo Guerrero Jr.

and I want to ask you about you and your son.

(1) Is it true that you wanted your son to be a lawyer or a teacher

when Chavito was young ?

(2) Were you a strict father or an indulgent dad to your son

when he was a child ?

(3) How do you estimate your son as a wrestler ?

(4) Do you want Chavito's sons to be wrestlers ?

I think the WWE's estimation to Chavito is TOO LOW.

They should give him more major position !

I love Guerrero Families !

( by Kenji Ito, Saitama, Japan )

Mr. Ito, I never wanted my son to be anything,

but what he wanted, a wrestler.

for example Japanese habit, Japanese manner or Japanese people etc, etc ... ?

Question 2 : What is your favorite and non-favorite Japanese food ?

Question 3 : My favorite Japanese wrestler is Mituharu Misawa.

Do you have any memories of him ?

Thank you very much for many many memories, Chavo.

Mr. Abe, my favorite food in Japan was going to

the Lobatuyaki ( Robata-yaki ) house

Misawa was always good when I would wrestle him

3. What is your dream right now ?

I am going to take you back into time a little.

I was wondering if you could give me a little bit of information

on a match you had with the then WWWF Champion

Superstar Billy Graham on February 10, 1978 in L.A.

This match ended with you being the winner

when the match was stopped due to Graham bleeding.

Do you have memories of this match?

Was any rematch ever considered at the time ?

How were you choosen to be one of the few able to actually have

a title match against Graham outside of the standard WWWF rings ?

What was Inoki and other Japanese wrestlers doing ringside

durring this match acting as photagraphers ?

Was there to be some kind of angle being set up ?

I know Graham had just came back from Japan and was on his way back east.

Was this the only time that you had fought Billy Graham ?

( by Ron Witmer )

@

Dear Ron, I remember the match very well.

Superstar had come in from Japan on his way to N.Y.

Mike Labell was doing business with Inoki, WWWF,

and all three were working together.

Leo Garibaldi was booking and it was his idea

since that same year I wrestled all 3 NWA. WWWF & AWA CHAMPIONS.

I DON'T THINK ANYBODY HAS EVER DONE THAT !

especially that the NWA TITLE had changed hand from Harley Race

to Terry Funk - so I wrestled 4 champions of the world in one year

and nobody beat me, WOW, WHAT GREAT MEMORIES !

Inoki and Fujinami were there to promote the upcoming match

between Fujinami and I for WWWF International Jr. Hvwt. belt.

I never had the opportunity to wrestle Mr. Graham again on a single match,

but in Florida we met in tag team matches.

What a proffessional and hell of a worker !

Thanks for the memories Ron.

Dear Chavo !!

I'm a big fan of Japanese wrestler Shirou Koshinaka

and when I saw him I said "I'm a big fan of Chavo Guerrero"

and he said "he was a true nice person and I thank him so much

because I learned from him many many things."

Chavo, do you remember him much ?

If you so, do you have any memory about him ?

Thank you very much and I'm sorry I can't speak good English.

Thank you for good many memory, Chavo !!

( by Hiroki Sakata, Japan )

@

Koshinaka was a young man when I started wrestling him.

At one time I would wrestle him the first day of every tour in Japan.

He always would try very hard,

especially trying to do the "hip attack" that I invented.

He would get mad at himself when he din't do good.

That is why he became a great wrestler.

If you see him, please tell him thank you for me.

Dear Chavo, hello from the Sunshine State !

The Guerrero Brothers tag team in the middle 80's

here in Florida was tremendous

and I still remember the grudge battle between Hector & you

and The Mikes (Davis & Rotundo) very well.

Thanks for the great memories.

My questions : First, Hector & you usually wrestled as heels in Florida in the 80's,

was that your own desire, or just the directions from the booker/promoter ?

Second, now we know many GAY wrestlers are in almost every territory,

how did you feel when you wrestled against such wrestlers ?

Last, lately Tom Zenk admitted in his own website

that he's got the sexual harassment outside the ring,

have you ever got the similar experience

by the elder wrestlers or the authoritative professions ?

Thanks again for the wonderful memories.

God Bless You.

( by K. C. Brown, Florida )

@

Mr. Brown, I can not answer questions about Hector's career,

that is his to answer.

As far as wrestling any Gay wrestlers, which I have,

in the ring it doesn't matter if you wrestle

a gay, black, white, mexican, oriental, etc.,

you are there to perform, so to answer your question,

No, I never had any problem or approachments

from gay wrestlers or promoters.@Thanks.

My questions are :

Which wrestler(s), beside your father Great Gory, gave the strongest influence on you

when you decided to be a wrestler ?

What was the greatest news or happenings for you as a wrestler

thru your wrestling career ?

And won't you tell me some of your favorite words ?

Incidentally, my favorite words are  "courage"  "honesty" and "friendship".

Thank you so much and please, please keep well and active, Chavo !

( by Carlos Rodrigues )

@

Hello Carlos,

I can't really think of anybody that had an influence in me

becoming a pro wrestler, besides my father,

on the contrary I was constantly being reminded how small I was.

My father is the only one that told me that one day I was going to make it big.

I have to add Leo Garibaldi to people that believed in me.

Everyday was a great happening for me, to name a few,

when I wrestle'd wrestlers like the Funk's, Harley Race

and most definitely when I won the light heavyweight belt from Alfonso Dantes,

and the International belt from Kimura in Japan.

One of my favorite words I learned in Japan, "combate kurasai",

which means "give it your best fight".

God bless Carlos

Hi Chavo,

I am a huge long-time fan from New York that really enjoyed

watching you (and your family) wrestle every Wednesday night

on the old Spanish International Network (SIN).

Your feud with a very young Roddy Piper was one

the most underrated feuds of the past few decades.

My question is,  when and why did you leave

the Los Angeles territory for good ?

Did Mando and Hector leave L.A. when you left,

or did they leave before or after you left ?

Finally, what territories did you, Mando and Hector

go to immediately after leaving L.A. ?

Thank you so much for all the the fond memories

that you and your family have provided for me over the past 30 years.

God Bless You

( by Steve Markakis )

@

Hello, Steve M.

Thanks for the kind words toward my family.

Hector had already left to Oklahoma territory.

Piper left to Oregon territory.

I was booking for Mike Labell and we had lost the Spanish network spot

and only had a local channel 56 which kept switching us around

in their programming and times.

I was learning a lot of TV because I had to make 3 programs

on Wednesday nights with 11 men.

I kept waiting, but for promises that we were soon going to return

to Spanish network, but never happend.

I saw myself being stuck in L. A. with no national or international exposure

so I asked Mike L. to send me to Georgia territory which he did.

I only lasted there 2 weeks because of Ole Anderson's prejudiced

and ignorance in giving me a chance because he said I was too small.

Came back to L. A. and Labell said he had Mando and couldn't use me.

Thank God I had Japan.  Hope this answers your questions

and you're right, Piper and I were awesome.

Dear Chavo,@let me ask you three questions, please.

1)@Who was the most memorable wrestler for you in your L.A. years ?

2)@You were traded from New Japan to All Japan in 1981

with the Junior Heavyweight Championship belt on.

Were you involved in any trouble or something then ?

3)@Who were your memorable Japanese wrestlers beside Tatsumi Fujinami ?

I'd be happy if I could have your answers.

( by Koji Mikuma, Hyogo Pref. Japan )

@

Amigo Koji Mikuma,

to answer your first question about most memorable in L. A.

of course Roddy Piper, Gordman & Goliath, Dory Jr., Terry Funk, Harley Race,

Superstar Billy Graham, Inferno 1, Java Ruuk, and so many more.

Second, nothing happened in Japan when I switched companies

as far as trouble.  Simply New Japan did not honor their contract

and through Mike Labell, which was booking for them,

I was told I basically would not have the same arrangement I had agreed on.

At that time Abdullah the Butcher had jumped to Inoki

and I was offered a lucrative contract,

so I jumped to All Japan where the rest is history.

Third question, is hard to answer because I have so much respect

for all my Japanese opponents, but to name a few,

Onita, Kimura, Kobajashi, Fuchi, Misawa, Inoue,

and everytime I would wrestle Baba, Inoki, or Tsuruta,

was always an honor and I had to be at my best.

I hope I have answered your questions honorably,
