1958 Cadillac 62 Sedan

1958 is one of my most favorite Cadillac. This is the car just I purchased and now on the way from West coast to Michigan. This photo were taken by car dealer when shipped to Detroit Michigan. (9/21/2002)

The Cadillac had delivered. Engine sound is really good. Very easy to start the engine. This photo looks better than actual. My wife took this photo. (9/28/2002)

Now, I just start to restore this Cadillac.

Exterior

I just started restore this 1958 Cadillac. I checked what should I need to do. (10/5/2002)

Original color was "#42 Alamo Beige Iridescent" (Body) and "#44 Buckskin" (Roof). Someone painted red at the previous restore. This red paint is absolutely poor!!! I need to eliminate red paint and some rust. After that I will repaint. However, now I do not decide the color. Original color is one of the choices.

Above: There is the gas cap behind the tail lamp. At first this is very difficult to find. :-)

Left: Engine compartment are painted black. It is UGLY. Also, The Engine are painted chevy-red. Is this true color? I thought the Cadillac engine were painted cadillac-blue.

Interior

Cool interior. I love this.

There are many MOLDs. So, I need to eliminate molds. These photo were taken before clean up. Now I had cleand up the molds. But the rear seat is still dirty.

Below: The color of the Door Trim is un-match by previous resotore. So, I will remake door trim.
