私はこの場を借りて、最近発行された『格闘技通信』誌に掲載された広告の、誤ったインフォメーションを訂正したいと思います。
このインフォメーションは、私の生徒リック・フェイと、彼の生徒である内野隆司に関するものです。
リック・フェイは、私の長年の生徒であり、イノサント・インターナショナル・マーシャルアーツ・インストラクターズ・アソシエーション（※IIMIA,ダン・イノサント認定指導員の管理組織）のジュンファン・グンフーとフィリピノ・マーシャルアーツの”フル・インストラクター”資格を得ています。リックは、とても知識と才能に富んだ生徒ですが、同じ様に知識と才能に恵まれた、USAとヨーロッパにいる私のフル・インストラクターの一人に過ぎません。
内野隆司は、私の組織のインストラクターではなく、ジュンファン・グンフー、ジークンドーやフィリピノ・マーシャルアーツの私が認定する何のランクも持っていません。
その広告では、リック・フェイが私のもとで”シニア・インストラクター（５ランク）”を得ており、彼が内野隆司を私の認定するインストラクターにした、というような事実と異なる広告が掲載されていました。
リックは、アメリカに彼独自のスクールと彼独自の組織がありますが、それは、私のものとは別個のものです。
リックは、彼の組織内で彼のインストラクターは作れますが、それは私の組織のインストラクターではありません。リックの組織のインストラクターは、自動的に私のもとでのインストラクターに認定されるものでは無いのです。私のインストラクター・プログラムは、私別個のもので、私の生徒達のプログラムとは異なります．．．例えば、リックのものとも。
私のプログラムのもとでインストラクターになる生徒達は、ジュンファン・グンフーとジークンドーのアートと哲学の創始者（※ブルース・リー）からの直系となります。
リックは、今までずっと私に対して敬意を示してくれ、高潔な志をもった生徒であり続けてきました。私はその広告が、彼の手によって、私や仲間のインストラクターを欺くための意図で作られたものではないと確信しています。また私が思うに、彼自身も、この嘘のインフォメーションが日本の格闘技界に広告され続けることで、日本格闘技界を誤った方向に導くことは望まないと思います。（※その後の情報では、事実リック・フェイ氏は該当する広告のことを知らなかったそうです）
私は、ＴＳＤカリ・ジム（※代表・内野隆司）と、そこのインストラクターや生徒とは何の関係もありません。
私の生徒であり、私のインストラクター組織において”シニア・インストラクター（※５ランク）”である中村頼永が創始したIUMA（日本振藩國術館）が、日本で私の名のもとに認可され、提携された唯一のジュンファン・グンフーとジークンドーのアートと哲学、フィリピノ・マーシャルアーツ/カリの組織です。日本では、シニア・インストラクターの中村頼永と共にもう一人、そのアートのフル・インストラクター（※４ランク）の阿部剛士のみが私が認定した者です。
中村頼永は、ジュンファン・グンフーとジークンドーのアートと哲学、フィリピノ・マーシャルアーツの日本初、かつ唯一のシニア・インストラクターです。
私の望みは、生徒達が最も信頼できる正統なインストラクターと共に、私の先生ブルース・リーのアートを学び、それによって恩恵を得られることです。武道には、政治的駆け引きや、故意にもとづいた誤解を招く表現は無用のものです。

I would like to take this opportunity to correct the inaccurate information appearing in an advertisement in the current issue of Kakutougitsusin magazine.
This information concerns my student Rick Faye and his student Takashi Uchino.
Rick Faye is a long time student and has achieved the rank of "Full Instructor" in Jun Fan Gung Fu and The Filipino Martial Arts in The Inosanto International Martial Arts Instructors Association. Rick is very knowledgeable and talented, but I have Full Instructors in the United States and Europe who are equally talented and knowledgeable. Takashi Uchino is not an instructor in my organization, and holds no raking under me in Jun Fan Gung Fu, Jeet Kune Do or the Filipino Martial Arts.
The advertisement is in error when it states the Rick Faye is a "Senior Instructor" under me, and as such can make Takashi Uchino and instructor using my name. Rick has his own school in the United States and his own organization, separate from mine. Rick can make instructors with HIS organization, not mine. Instructors within Rick's organization are NOT automatically recognized as Instructors under me. My Instructor's program is distinct and different from the programs of my students, such as Rick Faye's. Student receiving instructorship under my program have a direct lineage connection the founder of Jun Fan Gung Fu and the Art & Philosophy of Jeet Kune Do.
Rick has always been a very respectful and honorable student, and I am sure that it was not his intention to offend me, or his fellow instructors. And I am sure he would not want to mislead the martial art community in Japan, by allowing the mis-information in the advertisement to continue.
I have no connection with TSD Kali Gym, any of its instructors or students.
IUMA, founded by my student "Senior Instructor" in my instructors association, Yorinaga Nakamura, is the ONLY organization of Jun Fan Gung Fu and The Art & Philosophy of Jeet Kune Do and The Filipino Martial Arts/Kali, which is recognized and affiliated with my name in Japan. Along with Senior Instructor Yorinaga Nakamura, Full Instructor Tsuyoshi Abe is the only other individual authorized and credential by me to represent the art in Japan. Yorinaga Nakamura is the first and only "Senior Instructor" in Jun Fan Gung Fu, The Art & Philosophy of Jeet Kune Do and The Filipino Martial Arts in Japan.
It is my hope that my students will be able to train and benefit from the arts of my instructor, SiGung Bruce Lee, by training with the most qualified and legitimate instructors available to them. Politics and deliberate mis-representation of facts do not belong in the martial arts.
