. If your site is using the same tags for all the pages, you are not helping search engines figure out the subject or relevance of your individual pages. Make sure you have content matching what your audience is searching for. Your content will only help the site to rank higher if it is comprehensive and engaging. Stay on top of relevant trends, create “how-to” blog posts, and frequently update older content to make sure you’re continuing to serve your audience with useful and timely information even after it’s initially published. Many beginner bloggers and webmasters think that they need to churn out lots of content on a regular basis. But the truth is that quality will always trump quantity.
Just because you have similar keyword rankings does not always mean you are direct competitors
Start as you mean to go on: titles are the best places to get started with SEO. Regardless of what the search engines think, a snappy, relevant title will help attract readers on any platform. With your core keywords grouped into buckets based on exact local monthly search volume, you will most likely notice that the longer the search query, i.e. the more words in the phrase, generally the lower the search volume. Voice Search and Mobile-First Index might drastically change that, but we’re not there yet. Online shops in particular often face the risk of generating duplicate content. For example, a product might be listed in several categories. If the URL is structured hierarchically, a product can be accessible under multiple URLs. One reliable way to solve this problem is by using a canonical tag. This shows Google which URL is the “original” one and which one is a copy. The Google bot then ignores the copies when crawling your website and only indexes the original URLs. In today’s SEO world, search engines often evaluate content to determine the search rankings of a website. It is a common misconception that content marketing doesn’t work as well for e-commerce websites. The length of search phrases continues to grow. Back when the Internet was just an upstart, single keywords were the only thing you needed.
Start simple, but don’t skip this step.
You can make sure you have chosen the right SEO phrase to win in two steps. First, think about what you would search for to find that content. We use search every day, but sometimes don’t pull on our own experience when writing for SEO. Even if the phrase sounds a little too detailed or random, remember that it came from a real human (you) — so it’s probably winnable. Second, test your phrases in the Keyword Planner of Google AdWords to see how competitive they are to win. Once you find the perfect phrase that straddles those two steps, you have a winner. Off-page SEO factors are as important as on-page SEO factors. To have a successful SEO optimisation, both should be done. Earlier it was still easy to rank by building spammy links but, after the penguin and panda updates, its much difficult. Either a piece of content can help your website’s search engine rankings or it can hurt your rankings. Anchor text diversification is all about not having the text links. If you have a simple HTML-based site, moving hosting providers is not
a particularly difficult process, whether you are doing it yourself or asking
your web-design firm to do it for you. By starting a blog — or taking an existing blog up a notch — you can increase your influence and establish stronger relationships with potential and current customers.
Avoid link directories that link to all types of websites
We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "Google wants to know about the keyword usage. You should ensure the keywords are properly applied in the title tag and have properly crafted meta-description. Then, the content should be of significant content. " Keyword Research is the first and foremost step that should come to your mind while beginning with your optimization mission. It is simply, researching and zeroing down on those words which, a user will probably search (in any given Search Engine), which directly (or sometimes, indirectly) relate to your business/products/services. Dynamic serving takes a different approach. It uses server-side technology to serve a different version of your site to mobile users, depending on the way they access your site. The URL stays the same, but the files sent differ completely. For SEO purposes, you should definitely monitor the click through rates of different pages. You should be able to see the rates of specific pages on your website in Google Search Console. Adding your site to any web directory just to get a backlink will have a negative effect on your website’s ranking.
In a link building campaign, you have to find target Web sites in the first place, review them to decide if asking for a link is worthwhile, identify the contact person and send them a customized link request. Duplicate content refers to a webpage’s content that appears in more than one place on the internet. One of the most common misconceptions is that blogging on your own site is going to help your SEO. Optimizing images to rank well in search is a must for an increasingly visual web: a good logo or some eye-catching graphics can be as effective at attracting visitors to your website as your written content. When you run the same query on different
search engines, you will probably get different
results. This is because every search engine
uses its own algorithm, based on various socalled
“ranking factors.” These factors decide
which results appear in the SERPs.
The clean URL mission
Search-engine crawlers, which regularly check your website for its content and menu structure, can crawl faster through a fast-loading website. When this speed is combined with compelling or helpful content, a higher rank for your website is the likely reward. Do you publish new content exclusively for the enjoyment of your existing audience? Or do you want it to rank high in Google and bring new visitors to your site month after month? Internal links can help you prove your authority in a particular field by creating a logical sequence from one post to the other. This may lead to a series of posts that offer additional value, making it easier for search engines to understand your key topics. If you are new in the business then remember that the big guns are already optimizing for the most popular keywords and you don’t stand a chance for those keywords. Hence, choose keywords that have a good search volume but, are still not that popular. Use them 2-3 times for every 100 words in your content. Longer content is preferred over shorter content since it can cover a topic in greater detail. Data shows that content around 2400 words ranks the best on Google.
